Researchers at UMN Pharma Inc. presented results from a microarray analysis of tumor tissue after the administration of UMN-01. In this study, mice bearing MKN74, stomach cancer cells, were administered UMN-01 and were subsequently studied using cDNA microarrayanalysis. Researchers found that intravenous injection of UMN-01 significantly suppressed tumor growth in this model. In addition, some probes or genes demonstrated interesting changes in their signature patterns with respect to the anti-tumor effect seen in the cDNA microarray analysis.
